<br><br>\nFebruary 19 Recall<\/b><br><br>\n\nOn Feb. 19, 2026, Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc. recalled approximately 3,370,530 pounds of the following frozen food products sold at Trader Joe\u2019s: <br><br>\n\nAjinomuoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice: <br>\n\n    <ul><li>1.53-kilogram cardboard packages containing six bags<\/li><li>\n    Best before date of Sept. 9, 2026 through Nov. 12, 2026<br>\n<\/ul><\/li> <br><br>\n<b>Trader Joe\u2019s Chicken Fried Rice with Stir Fried Rice, Vegetables, Seasoned Dark Chicken Meat and Eggs: <\/b><br>\n\n   <ul><li> 20-ounce plastic bag packages<\/li><li>\n    Best by dates of Sept. 8, 2026 through Nov. 17, 2026 <\/li><\/ul><br>\n\nAll of the recalled products were produced between Sep. 8, 2025 and Nov. 17, 2025. They all feature the establishment number P-18356 inside the USDA mark of inspection. <br><br>\n\nThe Trader Joe\u2019s item was shipped to Trader Joe\u2019s stores nationwide, while the Ajinomoto product was only exported to Canada. <br><br>\n<b>March 3 Recall<\/b> <br><br>\n\nOn March 3, 2026, Trader Joe\u2019s posted a notice to its website related to Ajinomoto\u2019s ongoing recall. In its message, the retailer announced that it was recalling certain Trader\u2019s Joe frozen products \u201cin an abundance of caution.\u201d <br><br>\n\nThe recall was expanded to include the following products: <br><br>\n\n    <ul><li>Chicken Fried Rice: Best by dates between March 4, 2026 \u2014 Feb. 10, 2027 <\/li><li>\n    Vegetable Fried Rice: Best by dates between Feb. 28, 2026 \u2014 0 Nov. 19, 2026<\/li><li>\n    Japanese Style Fried Rice: Best by dates between Feb. 28, 2026 \u2014 Nov. 14, 2026<\/li><li>\n    Chicken Shu Mai: Best by dates between March 13, 2026 \u2014 03\/ Oct. 23, 2026<\/li><\/ul><br><br>\n\n<b>March 20 Recall<\/b><br><br>\n\nOn March 20, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted a notice to is website to share an update on the ongoing recall. <br><br>\n\nThe FDA shared that Ajinomoto had added 9,885,240 pounds of frozen food products, including the following: <br><br>\n\n<b>Trader Joe\u2019s Vegetable Fried Rice<\/b><br><br>\n\n   <ul><li> Item #5650233 <\/li><li>\n    Each case of 24 includes 1-pound bags<\/li><li>\n    UPC #00521482<\/li><li>\n    Case UPC # 10052148200001<\/li><li>\n    Best by date ranges listed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/index.cfm?Product=219003\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/li><\/ul><br><br>\n\n\nPer the FDA, the products were distributed to the following states: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. <br><br>\n<b>Why Are the Products Being Recalled?<\/b> <br><br>\n\nAll of the affected products have been recalled due to concerns that they may be contaminated with glass. <br><br>\n\nPer the FSIS, the issue was initially discovered after four consumers reported finding glass in the products.
